hi guys,

after a long trip, ~200 miles on a highway or in city traffic on a hot day, my automatic transmission seems to shift very hard into gear... and sometimes when i romp on it, the tires squeal because it shifted so hard. However, during normal driving to work and back and to anywhere else the tranny is fine.

i was wondering if if the oil in the transmission is not flowing properly to the radiator, or the filter is clogged on the transmission causing a slow flow of fluid, thus overheating my transmission.

Can overheated transmission fluid break down and be useless after certain temperatures?

I have changed the fluid about 15 times and i still have this problem.

Thanks a lot for suggestions
