The thing with the police officer was actually kind of funny. It went something like this:
Officer: "Is this a car show or something?" Me: "No, just a little get together." Officer: "You won't be racing in my town will you?" Me: "Do you see Honda on any of these?" Officer: Laughs Me: "No shopping cart handles either. We'll be alright" Officer: "Have a good day...be good."
Not exact quotes but close. You get the idea. He was cool...probably just as interested in us as other people who stopped to look. It wasn't the typical ricer get together. I'm surprised he didn't ask what kind of car they were!

The parking lot where we met was across the street from the Everett PD....he was just looking for the rumoured new location of Krispy Kreme and took the time to make sure we weren't going to do any 'street-racing' thru his jurisdiction.

Memorable moments:
1) The dude in the Mustang GT that circled our cars in the lot, then yelled "Get a real car" out the window at us.
2) The kids in the lowered, big rimmed, sewer plumbed Acura Integra who revved his VTEC engine at us.
3) The sight of people in Darren's neighbourhood who don't have 3 or 4 car garages but rather hangars for garages to park their planes.
4) Lunch and the chance to chat.
5) The sight and sounds of 10 or 11 Contours charging up the highway. (I was bringing up the rear.)

More Memorable Moments:
6. The guy on the cell phone checking out all the cars, semi mocking them and telling his friend he had to come down and see this.
7. The older Gentleman who circled the cars several times before finally stopping to ask if they were some new special addition.
8. Shotwell proclaiming he has an SVT, but it's got a broken differential, thus becoming Shotdiff!
9. Lance, Kerry and Jim checking out Matt's bullet fuel door, opening it to discover it won't close again. After a moment of panic, Matt comes over to reassure them he had broken it himself!
10. The traffic chaos we created trying to get 10 Contours to Darren's house.

I didn't know he was mocking the cars. He was obviously oblivious to the photography going on. Some people... Kerry

I guess Lance might as well go ahead and change my user name. I probably won't have my trans back from Terry until late next month. Oh those memorable moments. I remember driving past that runway and wondering if we could drag race on it...come to find out later that EVERYONE had the same thought! That drive was something else. I have a few pictures from I-5 and other places while in motion. Qbert and I were in the middle somewhere. I'm still fighting with AT&T over my supposed 10MB of web space that comes with my cable modem, but when it's set up I'll get those pics posted. I've also got the how-to pics for the fogs with parks mod if anyone needs them.
So when are we all going to meet again?

Sadeeq begs Jared to turn on his sound system... after a few seconds of feeling it , Sadeeq isn't sure if it made any sound at all; or if he'd just experienced momentary deafness. 13. While at the mall, a guy in a Neon drives up to gawk. He asks if the cars are new models, and where he can buy one new. ROTFLMAO! Sadeeq, I didn't realize it was you who brought upon us the wrath of Jared's sound system I too was scared for a moment that I was going deaf and wondered if that was supposed to be music or a sonic boom. I had already blown out my left eardrum on a roller coaster in June and for a second I thought I was going to have it happen again! =) Christy
