Yeah that should work but you need to get Brake Cleaner as well to get the carb cleaner off the contacts. Just spray it into the resistors let it sit for a minute or two then spray it with brake cleaner. Let it sit for about 5 minutes and dry. While it's drying disconnect the postive (red) Battery cable to clear the computer of it's memory. Also while you have the filter out check the intake tube for oil from your K&N it might have been over oiled. If it is oily take the whole intake track from the fender well to the throttle body out of the car and spray the inside of it out with Brake Cleaner. Oh and don't let the stuff sit in your car in the HEAT! It's highly flamable and explosive!
