Since the topic was brought up that both the Shoshop and BAT y-pipes aren't insulated, I found two brands of exhaust wraps: DEI and Thermo-tec. Has anyone used either, and is one better than the other? They have similar pricing so Im guessing the products are pretty much the same.

Why would exhaust wrap void most header warranties? confused

Don't waste your time and money guys. I ordered the Thermo-Tec for my y-pipe and it did absolutely nothing! The oil temp stayed the same. Just a waste of time, and out $50.

Well, at least your bad news saved me $50. So what can we do about this whole problem? Short of buying and installing a monster oil cooler?
