Here's my question... Does anyone own a silver or black CSVT in or around Orleans (that would be in Ottawa). I have never actually seen a CSVT up close. I've seen a silver one pass by my street (I ran to get a the dig cam but it had already passed by), and I've seen a black one dropping off their kid at Sir Wilfrid Laurier HS (in Orleans).

Anyways, just wondering if there are any local, local, CSVT's around. I'm always watching the roads on my daily commute to school, but it never pays off.

There are a fwe out there, and if all goes well, you will be very well acquainted with a few SVT's in the next few weeks. We are trying to get a Montreal/Ottawa meet so we'll all be able to hang and check each other's cars out.

The Black one you saw was undoubtedly Steener's.

Not in Orleans; I haven't been there in months.

I'm in the Bank and Heron area, so if you stake out that intersection, you're bound to see me sooner or later. I frequent the Independent Grocer at Bank and Alta Vista, and you'll also often find me outside the LCBO at Bank and Kitchener, asking older kids to buy booze for me.

Another good spot to find CSVTs in Ottawa is the parking lot outside the service department at Campbell Ford. smile

thanks for the help..
steener, how old are you if you dont mind me asking (having older kids buy you booze I'm assuming your not 19). I'll be 18 in July, and if you're under 19 and own an SVT that's amazing.

I wan't to attend a meet sometime, but I would feel out of place being a young'n and all. At least it's good to know there's some local people out there my age, sharing the same interest for an awesome car.

I'll let Craig answer the age thing, but all I have to say to everyone is, don't expect all Contour/Mystique/SVT enthusiasts to be in their late teens and early twenties.

I'm 25 and my father who also currently owns an SVT Contour in Ottawa is another 25+ years older than that.

Yeah, that's what I already assumed - That the majority of the people are fairly older. That's why I thought it was great how there are some young people out there with the same interest in cars, not just civics and whatnot.

Mind you, he still hasn't said how old he is, for all I know this could be a one sided conversation. Ah well...

Campbell Ford service.

No joke.

That's where you're sure to find one or even a few on lucky/unlucky (?) day.

They had my silver SVT for 10 days trying to fix a problem that should have taken a couple of hours to find...

aMac-

The "getting older kids to buy me booze" was a joke, eh? Blacknblue knows that much. I'm (gulp) 48. Old enough to be his father, and he's
lucky I'm not...he'd never get the car keys.

I'm still a kid on the inside. As proof, I got a new personal best high speed in the 'tour last night -- 215kph.

On the age topic still, there was a post in the "general" forum awhile back, asking peoples' ages. There's a pile of under-20's in the CEG. I'm one of the older guys for sure.

215 craig??

That'll have ya back at Campbell's soon!

Admire your nerves o'steel, though, fastest I ever took mine to was about 205-ish last summer.

Wonder if Harry or his dad ever got my old crate up to speed...
