In action, however, it's sadly been the same old song...
Someday, I figure I'll have to start clapping out the SVT as well.
Don't really have that much cash money to plow into upgrades or repairs, though, nothing seems to want to fail yet on the car.
It still pulls like a runaway chainsaw thru all 5 gears, and no grinding! Tracks straight, stops on a dime.
I am however budgeting about a thousand bucks to redo the suspension by mid summer. Probably need struts and springs too.
Any ideas on a good strut and spring combo? I was thinking BAT from CTA Motorsports. The Euro handling package sounds appealing.
You're on the right track with those suspension ideas. I'm not much of an expert, but read alot of the Suspension Forum.
Mangler from MTL has the BAT kit and I drove it the other day. It seems to be a well matched kit. My personal favorite though is the H&R spring stance matched with the Koni struts. I couldn't afford the Konis and have two brand new SVT struts in the rear so I should be okay for a bit. I think the only disadvantage of the stock SVT struts is poor longevity.
You should check your struts for leakage. I was in for a parking brake issue and they told me that one was leaking and the other was completely empty. Replaced under warranty.
