Somewhat off-topic, as it deals with my truck rather than my 'Tours... I got the new stereo installed today. Un-fzcking-believable! Having the subs in the passenger compartment rather than a trunk makes for a mighty bass roar. If the truck is rockin', don't bother knockin' - I won't hear you!

Wait until you install subs into a hatchback, trucks are nothing... Have fun though and be sure to practice safe sound!

Equipment: Sony 54Wx4 CD-R headunit. Don't know the model number offhand, but it has no controls on the face. Infrared remote control only. It came with a credit-card sized remote and a joystick remote. Once I got the controls figured out, it's sweet.
I have Pioneer 3-ways in all four doors (same as in my SVT) and dual 10" Kickers in a full enclosure with a 100Wx2 Sony amp (bridged, of course).
Put my disc changer under the rear seat, so I'm good to go!
I pilfered the subs and the changer from my SVT. Since that is no longer my daily driver, why carry the extra weight, and why not have the tunes in the everyday vehicle?
I've got to get out of this town, so yeah, I'll try to hit DSM this weekend.

Got the almighty bulletproof custom skidplate on the truck this weekend. The Exploder/Mountaineer is notorious for having a wide-open-from-underneath engine bay. 3/16" steel plate across the whole thing ought to keep the nasties out.
Many a sob story about punctured radiators/hoses, thrown belts, etc. have come pass because of that gaping maw under the hood. I don't think I'll be having that kind of issue on my next trip to the Rockies!
Anyone ever try putting a Bullitt fuel door on an Explorer? It looks like it ought to work, but I'm reluctant to plunk down a C-note for an experiment. Anyone?
