Hey guys,
Well as the title states.......
This weekend:
1) I got my resonator replaced with a pretty good sized glasspack. I am very pleased with the tone it puts out.... Not much cabin noise either, I was plesantly surprised.
2) I took off my sail panels and painted them with satin black Krylon paint. They match the other trim peices very well I might add.

Upcoming:
1) Sent my money to JustSVT to buy a brand new in the box SHO Shop Y-Pipe, Richbrook shift knob, and Richbrook E-brake handle cover. To be shipped tommorow.
2) My SVT wheels have 3 very interested buyers so, first come first serve..... Once I get the deposit I'm ordering my 18's....... Probably Konig Ziege or American Eagle type... something? I forgot!
3) I should be getting my new gaskets(seals) on monday for the intake manifold cleaning to be performed this coming weekend....

Thats it for now.....
Just thought the STL chapter of the forums was getting a little slow........ Give me some suggestions guys!!

Jason from Chester,IL

There was a guy in Austin, TX looking for SVT wheels for an SE. Check out the Contour archives at www.coldair.org and perhaps you and he can hook up. His message was posted probably Tuesday or Wednesday and you can see my response.

I offered to take the wheels to Texas during the national meet if you and he made a deal.

Dunno if he contacted you, but you might give it a shot.

If he likes them, just have him send a MO back with me, or I can drop it in the mail.

Well, that's detail to work out if they sell that way. I guess I'm just offering myself as a free courier.

I'm leaving from work on Wednesday.

Thank You Tony, that is very generous of you.....
I wouldn't have expected you to lug around 4 big wheels in the back of your tour! Even so, If your leaving wednesday, it would be nearly impossible for me to get the wheels to you by then, with classes & work.
I looked around on coldair.org.... but I never found that thread. That was my first time ever on the Coldair site....... I didn't even know it existed!
Anyways, I think I have my wheels sold to a gentleman from northern Illinois who would be driving down to Chester to pick them up...... If not to him to another party who wants me to ship them....

What would you all suggest as the best way to ship my wheels with the tires mounted???

Thanks,
Jason

P.S. Thanks for the offer Tony!

Do it like Tire Rack does. They have these cardboard "circles" that cover the wheels. Just put one or two on the front and back and use lots of tape. Leave the tires exposed, just cover the wheels. Put a shipping label on the cardboard.

You can probably use some large boxes, and just cut them to cover the wheel portion.

I have plenty of those tirerack "circles" if you want some. But I won't be back until July 2.

Well......
Currently I have deposit on my stock wheels. Ehayden71(Tim) is purchasing them and picking them up sometime in the near future.....So right now my car is rollin' around on a purty set o' Bridgestone Blizzaks on black modular steel wheels..... Ewwwww it handles TERRIBLE!

I have installed the off-road Y-pipe, glasspack in place of res, richbrook e-brake & shift knob.

Last weekend, I cleaned my upper intake manifold which was super crudy(sp?) smile I also did the throttle body optimization as outlined by Twowheelin....... basically I filed, sanded and polished for 2 hours on a perfectly good throttle body. With these two mods I could feel significant midrange power gain..... I think probably my intake manifold was the biggest problem.... I wish I would have taken pics....
eek

Something to look forward to: I ordered 18" wheels & tires yesterday. Konig Blatant's in Opal Black Pearlescent color with 215/35-18s (ya I know, rubber bands)

This weekends project consists of an attempt to make my own "intelliglow" style needles for my gauge cluster. Check out the "these are phat" post in the 'Aesthetic' forum. I'm sure I can do this.... hell, i'm an electronics student!!!

I still have yet to install the LEDs in the doorhandle that I have..... but soon....

Guess I need to post some new pics..... smile
I'll wait for the wheels.... methinks...

Comments, Questions, Concerns...?
smile
