Also as std we have the SVT engine oil cooler, which I beleive is not fitted on "normal" Duratecs in the USA. Why when the USA is hotter in summer than here???

Paul that's because Ford doesn't think that we will pay for the xtra and they want to try and make the car profitable. Little did they know that it causes the ATX to fail like nothing else over here. Or maybe they did know...
