Dan, given your build date and vehicle number, I would guess that you have a returnless system. According to the included instructions, there is a section for returnless systems (page 8) that shows the addition of Vortech supplied fuel injectors. As far as the ECU, its a matter of installing the jumper, just the same way when installing a Diablo or Superchip. I had to send my ECU back to Vortech and I found out that my chip will most likely be a Superchip. I don't have the issues that you do since mine is a 98.5 SVT.
