Dan, I have a couple of those superchargers that are on the new Cobra, they are made by Eaton. They measure 6-3/4 inch's from top to bottom, you would need more than just a small bulge in the hood. The lower intake would not work because it has individual runners going to the heads. With that supercharger mounted on top of the engine like you envision you need it to blow into a large open plenum first, and the Duratech manifold has no open plenum. You would need to fabricate a plenum bolt it to the lower intake then mount the blower on top of the plenum, that would add even more height to the install. I agree with you it would be nice to have one on a Duratech and I am researching that possability right now. However it will not be mounted on top of the engine.
