Well, I have not really been thinking forced induction but after checking out the 03 Cobra 390 HP S/C 4.6L, well I am impressed. Looks like alot of cars are going with a Roots style blower including the awesome AMG 3.2 V6. Looks so straightforward. Wouldn't you be able to delete the upper intake manifold and put that S/C with a custom mounting bracket right on the lower IM?? No jackshaft just a belt to the drive pulleys? The S/C doesnt look more than 3-4" taller than the upper IM so a modest "hood buldge would be required. No huge packaging problems beyond a custom hood (maybe a nice carbon fiber-vented deal as part of the package). Keep the boost modest (maybe 6 psi) & no intercooler and just maybe put you up to the 250-260 HP range with nice torque & keep bottom end stock with good detonation management. Nice & simple. Did you guys really look at a kit for this route as compared with the too powerful (for stock internals) & complex turbo & vortex. I do not really know much about S/C so just throwing this out...
