I agree, the symtoms were the same as a poorly installed chip. The difference is that Vortech installs the chip and tests it before the ECU leaves their shop. That equals less of a chance of a chip problem. The spark at the plugs also rules out chip as an improperly installed chip kills the ignition module, but still lets the engine crank.

rick lee: Good luck figuring out the oiling issue. Pull the pan and check out the oil pick up tube. I'll bet that's you problem as Buckshot stated. Now just hope that the bearings weren't killed off... You could replace the rod bearings with the pan off while you're in there if you wanted to, but the mains are stuck in there until you pull the motor.
