Hmmm, a little too coinicidental that the oil pump would take a shiz that quickly after the vortech install. Any chance you got metal filings in the pan when tapping it for the oil return? How about double checking to make sure nothing fell in when you attached the oil feed for the vortech? Any chance it starved from oil and seized on you as well?
