Well Bret, Why didnt you say it was for your lightning? Damn guy I thought you were yankin my chain. Guy's he cant spray or ice down the intercooler because its mounted under the blower and INSIDE the intake manifold. Bret I'm not sure but does the lightning have a small heat exchanger or radiator behind the grill to circulate and cool the intercooler water? I dont fool with lightning's so I am not sure, If not that would be an excelent mod to the intercooler system. Sure would beat hauling a refridgerator down the track with you and besides the track may have issues with you hauling a refridgerator down the track. Saftey issues! smile

the reservoir already gets a nice blast of cool air from the radiator fans... but the problem with this is that the reservioir is still in an uncontrolled enviornment. so even a very large fan can only do a small amount of cooling to a constantly moving liquid, in a hot engine bay, i can't see a fan cooling the liquid any more then 10 degs, at most. but if i could bring the reservoir temp below freezing and then have it insulated, i think it would provide a lasting cooling effect for the duration of the run. no only that, but the unit could be mounted securly... it would be just as likely that the fridge would come loose as the radiator would...

i am offically a troll... so take my information and advice with a grain of salt.

Bret you didnt answer my qeustion. Does the Lightning have a radiator installed in the intercooler water system? Are they just circulating the water from the res. to the intercooler and from the intercooler back to the res? smile

yes the lightning does have a radiator in the intercooler fluid loop.

It's all about balance.
