Here's another idea for you. I've been thinking of stringing together four 150 watt peltiers and mouting them to a waterblock inline with the intercooler. This would pull 600 watts of heat out of the intercooler. On the down side, it would draw about 50 amps when on. BTW, I know that the waterblocks are for CPUs, but I think that DD makes custom waterblocks.

Honestly, look into a C02 sprayer (I know I saw one, but cannot remember where)...or use N20 and spray across intercooler (if it is possible on yorus) I will be running the C02 spray on the Rex, it is cheaper to refill than nitrous.

the reason i liked a regfrigeration unit is because i can make it "insulated" and it should have a nice cooling effect over the reservoir even after it has been turned off, so the tank should stay cooler longer. do you have a link to a CO2 sprayer? are there kits out or would i have to "roll my own" ?

It is a full kit, it sprayes across the intercooler...but yours is under the intake correct? At that rate I am not sure, forgot it was a lightning we were talking about...air to water intercooler correct? The C02 sprayer that I know of is made my nitrous express I believe (who uses a white bottle?)

CO2 won't work for bret, the L has a water to air IC, there just isn't anyplace to spray it. bret, if this is just for track duty, i would just ice down the s/c and intake manifold before each run, and maybe throw some ice in the IC coolant bottle (lemme check on that ice in the bottle thing, just to make sure it won't screw up the pump or something, lol) some NO2 across the intercooler would be pretty helpful for charge cooling too
It's all about balance.

Do you not have a refrigeration unit on that vehicle already? Reroute the AC coil to one inside the water tank. As soon as you go to wot it shuts off already.

Why not run water injection or use a water injector to spray the intercooler and fill the tank with ice and water before you race... I got a setup half built in my daytona that sprays the intercooler, also will be running n2o too

i can't spary the intercooler... i think a pic of the engine bay might be useful. careful, clicking on the image loads a 1MB image file for better viewing. anywho... incase you are unsure, the reservoir has the "green liquid" in it.'' as u can see... sparying the intercooler itself is not really an option... but keeping the reservoir cool would be much easier and i think just as, if not more beneficial.

How about using dry ice, either on the intercooler itself, or in front of the air intake. Just my .02 worth. Then again, isn't dry ice frozen carbon dioxide? That would be a hinderance to the whole fuel/air mixture.
