No, nothing yet. With the help of OutlawdSVT we checked all of my electrical connections and I replaced my fuel filter. I have not determined what the problem is yet because all the connections were good.

New spark plugs should be here Monday and all the other tests that I have done seem like everything is fine. I will keep you updated if I find anything out.

Thanks for keeping me up with this. I am starting to look at nitrous as my next mod for my car. Currently looking at a Zex kit, or the Venom 1000 series (2000 waaaaaay over my price range) But seing this has me worried. I thought the VCN2000 was supposed to be like completely failsafe, cutting out when the $hit hits the fan so to speak? Certainly if the VCN computer really had a good eye on what was going on in your engine it would have noticed something was wrong??? -Nick

I'm real interested in finding out what happened. I was almost sold on a venom kit until I saw this.

I talked with Venom a couple of times last week. We are going through everything that could have happened. I might have to ship my controller unit back to them so they can check it out. I will let you all know.

At least it was your plugs that went, and not your pistons.

Nice to hear you only got fried spark plugs and nothing else. This is the one of the main reasons why you run a plug one to two ranges colder than stock.

I have never, never, ever burnt a spark plug. Maybe that's luck to some degree, but I also NEVER, ever liked DRY nitrous systems for the reason that you have NO control over fuel enrichment.

Sorry man, but all that money you spent for that kit and I could out run you with a $850 Nitrous Express kit and a $400 "basic" progressive controller. Oh, nevermind I could run a much bigger shot than you could have done dry and without upgrading injectors or fuel pumps.

For as much as you spent, you could have added a remote bottle opener to the NX kit.

Nitrous is never fail-safe or dumbie proof, but you can get away with a fair about of power for a long time with some common sense and a fair amount of good luck. All that stuff Venom sells you is PR. The only thing they make possible is to use a dry kit on a returnless system car. Neons have had this since day one. It's something we deal with all the time when increasing power. Now NOS has a dry kit for our cars, great! Comes with ONE stinkin jet! Why? Our injectors are too small for anything more. You can get a bit more out of the Venom kit. How? At the highest setting, it locks the injectors wide open, which is NOT a good idea.

I consider dry kits, like play toys. When your serious about making power with nitrous oxide, you use WET kits. I don't see alot of Pro Mod guys and NMCA guys running dry systems and for good reason.

Plus I'll always make more torque with a wet system over a dry.

Got any questions about nitrous - E-mail me..
