One other thing, those plugs are a classic example of spraying nitrous and running lean. The plug electrodes are always the first thing to go, and if caught early enough they will be the only thing damaged. It takes a little bit longer to hole a piston or even lose a headgasket.

Yes, those are NGK V-Power TR55 with the copper core. I don't know if I would call them "special" plugs, but they are not platinum and are a step colder.

I stopped by at the parts store last night and got a new fuel filter but they were out of NGK plugs. I had checked all the connections after I got done reinstalling everything. It was at only 5% but it had a heck of a kick to it. I am almost wondering if my controller is bad. Venom tested it and said that it was alright.

It would be hard to weigh the bottle because I didn't let it spray for more than 2-3 seconds. It was on the last red bar (as lean as you can get) so I got off it real quick.

The good news is, I put the old plugs back in and it is driving fine. Had some issues on startup but they smoothed out.

Do you know anyone with a scanner? I was thinking about just getting one for myself but have not done it yet. I still think that it is spraying way more than it should be. I need to talk to Venom again.

Brian-

You could get one for yourself, but Robbie and Brandon can get one from work. They used them on our tachs remember when we did that cheap mod? Also Greg (DemonSVT) has one. Oh yeah and Greg Litterick has one. So you can get a hold of one pretty easy around here.

I forgot that Robbie and Brandon had access to one. I just need someone that knows how to use it help me out. That and I am going to go through and check every single connection and everything else that I can think of. Your right, it's a good thing that I have a beater as backup. smile

That's what I am saying. If you want someone that knows how to use it I would talk to either Greg (DemonSVT) or Greg Litterick. They are champs with the program. Have fun in the beater. You know the ranger would sure love some Nitrous. Who would expect that to haul ballz? wink

Sorry guys, be out on the road for almost
two weeks. Din't have e-mail access.

First, I'm really sorry to see this happen.
Off the top of my head, I am wondering how it
occurred.
I figure if anything, with cool temps = low
bottle pressure, something like this would
be virtually impossible. Especially considering
the flow setting you chose.

I am forwarding this info to R&D so they may
review & contact you.

Thanks Greg! I called yesterday but you were talking with someone else.

It was about 50-60 degrees out and that was only my third run on that bottle. I am going to double and triple check everything when I can get a chance. I have to do some DJ work this weekend but hope to get to it next weekend.

Please keep us informed VenomSVT and VenomGreg....I am working on an entire buildup involving the VCN-2000 to include ignition, timing, and fuel upgrades, but this kind of malfunction is really testing my dedication to the idea. I'd hate to spend $2200 on my car just to burn a hole in the piston on my first test run while thinking I am running at 5% nitrous discharge. Please let us know when you find the cause of the problem!!! Thanks.
