Well, if he had a full tank, and was only using 5 percent flow, and he only drove down his driveway, then one would figure that there wouldn't be very much nitrous gone from the tank, hence it would weigh about the same as it did when it was full.
But, if his hardware or processor is malfunctioning and dumping a lot of nitrous in (say, 80%) then the bottle would drain quite quickly and would be measurably lighter. Just trying to help offer ideas to try and troubleshoot the cause of the malfunction/meltdown.
