I have the Lotek, Dk Blue gauge pod. In the pod I am running two vdos and an autometer gauge. The internal lighting is hooked up to the standard dash dimmer, so as the brightness of the dash increases, the brightness in the gauges increases proprtionally. However, at the brightest dash setting (where I would typically have the dash set to) the gauge pod is too bright in my peripheral vision. So I installed a second reostat, like the dash dimmer in line, which allows me to set the over all brightness of the gauge pod, but also allows me to control the gauge pod with the dash lights.
