He's sort of a turbo expert, so he had some useful feedback, which I'm relaying to the list, in hopes of getting some straight answers.. So far, nothing good has come of it.

If you want straight answers, you come directly to me. I have been straightforward with any and all information for this kit. Once the kit is finalized, the exact specifications of all components will be released. Speculation for something that isn't finished yet, spins wheels that go nowhere.

This kit WILL live up to what is promised. If it doesn't we don't produce it. It's plain and simple. As for turbo theory, there are certain camps of "experts" that have thier own beliefs. It's just like two sides to a political debate. To get the entire story, you have to look at the picture as a whole.

Have to agree Slim & Chris H,
Too many 'sort of' tubo experts & 'sort of' engineers around. Most of whom have never grasped the basics of thermodynamics or the internal combustion engine at all.As Chris and I have said, the link between Chris, 'Street Flight' & Haines Motor Sports Inc, will give us more history and background in both the Duratec & Zetec motors and help develop a better kit.As Silm said 'if you dont like it dont 'hum...buy it'...but I think with the background of the players in this venture it will be fine... wink

All I can say (and I mean it from the heart) I just want SOMEONE to blow me, and back it up. I trust Terry, he trusts the Company that Chris set him up with (in very simple terms) so therefore I trust them. HMS Inc. has thier (her haha) name on the line and I know the President of HMS would not let anything happen....so everyone just chill out and lets see who has the stuff out and tested. Anyone, and I mean anyone, can slap a turb on a car that is rated for it (via a book) and make it work. I cannot say how well it will work, how long it will work, or if it will net top gain without destroying your toy. If you want something that will work I say follow a company that has been force feeding engines for a while, being "led" by someone who can rebuild and balance/blueprint a 2.5L D-engine in his sleep....

I just want someone to show me where ContourDreamz said they were just going to slap a turbo on a zetec or D-engine and call it a day? No one knows what kind of R&D he will put into his kit: he might just wind up offering a mid-level medium boost turbo kit that sits nicely underneath Mr. Hightower's mad scientinst "take-it-to-the-limit kit. No one knows unless they let him do his thing, and maybe just maybe offer him a little advice about our "quirky" engines instead of this "CEG outsiders be D*mned" attitude.

i say... "LET THE KITS SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES" when the smoke from the rubber clears then we will see how builds a better turbo.

i am offically a troll... so take my information and advice with a grain of salt.

I say everyone should stop taking everything so literally and someone show us what they have. Enough talk about it, someone produce a car with turbo, with dyno plots, and GUARANTEE the engine is not gonna destroy itself right away. Dyno time man.....either you do it, or the aftermath is gonna tear you up. You can either "throw" a kit together, or research what the car can handle. We (as a group I hope) know that the rods are the weak link (Ford replaced them in the new Cobra for a reason)....forced induction in high levels is he!! on internals. Is anyone willing to risk their cars engine? I know I am not

This guy showed up on the NECO forums too. As CougarDreamz or something like that. Although I'm not going to talk for all of NECO, I personally thought that he didn't show very much class. Always cutting into Chris' threads and what Chris was saying, trying to lure customers away from Chris, etc... I didn't say anything since I'm not involved with any turbo upgrade (yet) but I kept thinking who does this guy think he is. A few NECO guys from the area got together and went up to his shop. I don't know what happened there but I haven't heard of anything from them nor that CougarDreams/ContourDreams dude for quite some time. Terry and Chris I have confidence in and I trust them. This Contour/Cougardreams guy, I don't think I would like him very much as a person let alone trust him and his shop to develop a turbo for the Duratec.

Check out what the Neon owners are saying about Blue Ribbon Turbo on their forum:
And here.
And this one...

In that last link, one member said "Blue ribbon? hahahahaha, I am pretty sure they are fixing to get sued for fraud."

So do you guys still comfortable doing business with this Contour/Cougardreamz guy? I say stick with the people that have proven themselves in our communities.
