I take exception to your 'moron' terms old chap...the engine was in a dyno cell with increasing rates of boost,spark & fuel maps being run.The failure was at around 5500 rpm,max load,WOT...we made 325 BHP and the rod caps combined with the wrist pin bosses let go.This is why on the 350bhp unit we are going to custom rods with bushed wrist pin ends,custom pistons,piston cooling jets etc.I spent the first 4 years with Ford in Dunton,England in & around the dyno cells,I think I know how to run engine mapping and max load etc tests......
