My car has over 60,000 miles on it and my cat is tired. The exhaust was put in by some dummies, so I am goig for the Borla, I think. I have never heard or seen the Bassani. Anyone have experience?

I just spent the morning fixing the mess that the guys whi did the install on my SC caused. They routed a water hose right next to the Camshaft pulley, underneath the decorative shroud, and guess whqat?? I sprang a wee leak after it rubbed on the pulley long enough. Oh well, live and learn.

Jim I disagree with you about the Borla. I have built and driven several Turbocharged and Supercharged cars since 1986 and never have I installed a Borla exhaust. You say that your exhaust is modified by someone else and its quite possable that they fouled things up a bit. Lets use this example, If a person had a stock SVT exhaust That would be fine to start with for a SC'd Contour. Yes there would be some things changed in the system, However the mods. would be far cheaper than a Borla and you would get the results your after. If you want the Borla thats fine but its just not necessary. I do agree with you about the cat. You will need a good flowing cat. Most of the time that is the most restrictive part in the exhaust system. smile
