this IS a great discussion. to be honest, if i can safely get over 220 fwhp for less than $2000, i might keep this car for a very long time. could you explain a little about the exhaust you are running... have you modified the exhaust header/removed cats, etc... also, do you have any pics of your setup? i will host them for you. just email them to me baco@alum.dartmouth.org i want to see how you have positioned the I/C and if you made any mods to the body to allow more air in. would the SVT front bumper be big enough to accomodate the same size S/C as yours, but with different dimensions? and finally, what are my chances of getting this to work on a rebuilt motor? i would undoubtedly need to rebuild and balance the motor before running any boost with 102,000 miles on the car. if this fits in the budget, this may be my project once the MG is done. SVT body kit from Micah, quaife, exhaust, paint, BAT handling kit, and a big faty turbo. i'd be satisfied for a while!

Great to hear your still around! I'm glad to hear the Focus is stll runing and apparently KICKING SOME A$$!! Ya know it is pretty amazing what you can do with a factory ECU when you know what your doing. Keep up the good work, and congratulations on your recent accomplishments.

I concur on the Zetec's ability to handle that much HP as long as you tune it right. Zetec is stock form is a very strong engine.
So how much are these kits running for?

I don't know near as much about turbos and superchargers as the rest of you here in this forum, but I do throughly enjoy reading these posts from the experts. I think in order to better explain how you get your results, you should post a little flow chart that explains the fuel mapping and retard/advance along the RPM range (and try to get the dyno run up as well). Once again, thanks for all the good info.

Quality is remembered long after cost is forgotten.
