Tom,
to take spark out dont you need a MAP sensor?,this is the reason for my question,the EEC drivers/calibration's dont support a MAP input....

at our dyno jet dyno we have the software and a program to do chips for the JFA8 focus code so we do our own custom chips,fuel and timing maps and we just use the maf and the o2 just like the stock computer does

the JFA8 is the only code we have done so far that is what my car is ,we are now doing some others now

So spark & fuel are only depeandant on MAF,TPS & 02 inputs?...what happens when you crank up the boost? how does the CPU know to alter fuel & spark ?

as i said earler all the tables are set up on load vs rpm and most of this comes from the mass air

as you up the boost you pull more air through the mass air ,the computer reads this and adds more fuel and takes out timing as we told it to do through the chip

just like the computer was ment to work from the factory the extra fuel comes from the 42lbs injectors and knowing how to controle them,for 300 at the wheel hp you realy need the 52lbs im hitting 100%injector duty cycle at 4800rpm

its quite simple realy,once you see it work

i have nothing agenst the pectal but the price

the t2 is to small to carry 300fwhp on the focus because it cant run low imp.injectors if you are only going for about 270fwhp it will do ok
you will still need larger injectors and tuning through a mass air is much easier and we have found more hp over the map many times

so to do a safe 300+ hp you would need the t6 at 2 times the money

and the car allready has a computer that can do the job

my way 2.0 zetec
injectors 42lbs or 52 lbs (250.00)
70mm ported mass air set for 42or 52`s injectors
high imp. (200.00)
driver installed in the stock computer to run the low imp. injectors (200.00)
custom chip with dyno time if needed (650.00)

200hp to 270fwhp==1100.00
300+ hp==1300.00

pectay way
t2 or t6 (3000.00 to 5000.00) i think
injectors (250.00)
dyno time (200.00 to 500.00)3 to 5 hrs minimum
cost (3500.00 to 5500.00)

and not every can program the pectal,i know guys that have spent 20+ hrs on the dyno to try and get there car to run right on stand alone units
ours is plug and play

terry what is the price of a t2 and t6 just to be fair

just my thoughts

WOW, this is a great mature dicussion. Its great to see what the internals for a "kit" are like. The parts are one thing but the design and testing are another....and whats this about a meet Simon....tell me we had a meet and I wasn't invited!!! mad
