at 500rpm's, at7500 rpm's etc. A turbo only kicks in around 3000 rpm's. I'd just like to know what the advantages are to a turbo, I hear they are a lot of work and have a lot of little stuff go wrong compared to a s/c, but i don't know much about turbo's so can u tell me why this is good?
Well, for starters:
-The turbo will make good boost around 2300RPM.
-The Duratec doesn't start making power till around 3200 (good power anyway)
-The turbo only has ONE moving part aside from the wastegate.
-Oh, and no jackshaft.
Warmonger, the turbo will work with your 3L. Same heads, same everything. The fact that your comp ratio is .05 more than the 2000 SVT isn't anything to worry about. I'll have to make a new flow chart for the 181 cubic inches worth of motor, but I can guess 6-7PSI could be obtained with the T28 we are using. I'm sure we will find out soon enough.
