Don't know if any of you are interested, but I e-mailed NOS (Holley) today about the direct injection kit. Basically I asked for some simple dimesions and took a shot in the dark and asked about duratec fitment. I'll let you know what they say when they return my e-mail.

Well here is the beautifully in-depth answer from NOS.....

Quote:
The injectors and fuel rails will be raised about 1 inch.

Thanks, NOS tech dept.

So I guess someone will have to be the guinea pig and see what happens...

The top of the fuel rail will be a problem. Angle of the upper injector mount.

Clearence should be ok, it comes up between the the front and back runners, but there is a wire harness on top of the rail to deal with.

How about getting someone to manufacture a phoelinic (sp?) spacer to make clearance between the fuel rail and the upper manifold? Result would not only add the appropriate clearance but also keep the intake charge a bit cooler.

Been keeping my eyes on this kit. Dont think I'll put down $1300 for a kit until I knew it fit underneath the upper intake.

But man oh man....the power that thing could make with the right fuel pump, timing and plugs.

Manifold won't go any higher without smacking the hood. Great idea though! smile
