I am guessing you are talking about the E-ram or soemthign similar... they make a good paperweight.

I have heard of these, some kid that went to my school had one on his civic (go figure). It actually added like 10 hp or something like that for around $300. Not bad, but you have to tell people you have a leafblower powered car!! eek

How much power do paper weights give you on the dyno?

The e-Ram gave 9 dyno proven HP to Brad, before it was sacrificed to the highway gods. He liked it, and I'm sure he'll tell you that when gets to this thread.

Don't tell em it's powered by a leaf blower, it's powered by a plane engine! (RC plane, but they don't have to know!)

There's probably other stuff in the Performance forum about it, I'm too lazy to search for it right now.

I have a paperweight in my backseat that give's 100+fwhp when installed...

I'm sorry, but the E-ram is garbage. A few peopel have seen positive results, but they are the minority when it comes to that product.

Turbopac is one of the closest things to a real electric supercharger. Terry was working on finding out about a UK based company that made some, too.

IIRC, a few people have used cooling fans from computers and said that it really doesn't work. The problem is that they aren't working based on engine RPM, so even at idle it is still blowing the same air as it would at redline. But try it, those fans are fairly cheap.

The e-ram is much more of a powerful unit than a computer cooling fan.

I'm sure you could wire it up so it will turn on when you go WOT... It should spin up fast enough to make it worth while.
