The Escort trans can be swapped for the MTX75 as used in the Focus Zetec/MTX75 combination for any T/C Escorts! & thanks for the info,Regards Terry Haines,HMS Inc

Where did you get this info? From looking at the two cars, I can tell you that the front subframes are competely different ... but I didn't do any measurements. Any info you can provide is greatly appreciated!

I still havent gotten an aswer to my question.
1. what about fuel management for this system? Is the stock ecu smart enough? or will the injectors go static?
2. Heads - can they be replaced?
3. Clutch - I'm sure a new one will be required. Any comments?

I am not sure if Todras has contacted you about possibly installing the stage one turbo on my Focus ZX3 this spring. Looking over the posts, it appears that new pistons are installed to lower the CR or is the head modified? What type of fuel system upgrade or electronics are needed for this kit. The car currently has an AEM intake, FC throttle body, Off-road race header, A'pexi N1 exhaust, and Esslinger UDP. I am looking at having a set of stage 2 crane cams added this spring. I am interested in doing the stage one turbo next year, and I think my car would make a good advertising item for your company. Email me at my office bryan_redeker@fmo.com.

Ok for the Stage II you said we need an engine managment system. Are we talking a custom chip or something more along the lines of the TEAC-II fully programable, stand alone engine managment system?

This is an amazing deal for Zetec owners. Sadly, I don't think I can do it. I just can't justify spending 4 large on a car that is only worth 4 large in the books.
I also have almost 100k miles on the engine with no problems, but I wonder how much it can take.
