No real difference until ~2500rpm. Then, instead of that 'rasp' or rumble, just smooth pulling as far as you want to go. If anything, the revs seem to come up faster than with the stock pulley. Search the archives for the technical info from the Supra group. There's some interesting technical info from Toyota about the 400HZ vibration and crank whip that occurs when #1 fires.
