Don't waste your time with the LS motor. My car made well over 200HP at the front wheels through a stock exhaust and a sho shop Y-pipe. I say Taurus motor all the way. Why spend the money on a motor, or do all this research and overlook something and be screwed. go with a tried and true combo that will EASILY get you what you want.

Was actually referng to the tuning of the base Duratec. SVT/Roush based in the US extracted more power than Jaguar from the 2.5. But on second thought, I think I read that some of the Roush guys were Brits...Doughh. frown

I just read Jaguar is coming out with a "X-Type R"
Supercharged just under 400 or so hp. Putting it the race with BMW M5 and Mercedes E55 AMG.
Pretty Sure i read it was coming out 2003-4

The X-Type R is a 4.2L engine, not a 3.0.

Maybe a little shoehorning, prayer, miracles, lotsa dough and even more cursing it'll fit.

This month's Car and Driver said the X-Type R was canned along with the F-Type due to Ford budget cuts frown .
