I've never had a ping on mine. Ingnition maps look fine, the dyno looks fine (a bit fat on top, could use a chip), and my SE heads are untouched, save for a tiny bit of material removed from the very edge of the chamber to eliminate the pointed edge (thin point = hot spot on an overlapping edge into a larger cylinder is bad, mmmmmmmmk?).
I run 92 octane Ultimate from Amaco, but have been known to get by on 90 as well.
Fat pipe CAI helps keep cool air coming in. Red Line watter wetter helps to drop coolant temps a few degrees. Now I need an oil cooler after hearing Terry's SZ stories!!!
