The way I "bypass" the PATS module for remote starters is by a module that is programed as a third key. I don't actually disable PATS completly, only while the car is remote started. The module in order to work needs both keys, because that enables the learn routine for the PATS module in the car: key 1 in - turn on - key 1 out, key 2 in - turn on - key 2 out, the aftermarket module then sends a program like the key does and the PATS recieves that as the third key. Now I do know the dealer can program a second key if lost but the have another process then above(that I believe that the dealer can only perform), in order to defect the PCM PATS program mode. If you can get a single key you can also take out the PATS chip in the key and install around the PATS ring for a permanent fix, disabling the PATS completely - forever.
- just my thoughts, anything just let me know.
