I was wondering what the performance increase is after you swap in a 3.0 Also, what mods are available for it? Can you keep the same tranny? Perhaps someone could point me towards a website with this information.

www.bnmotorsports.com has some good information on what you'll need for the swap. also you'll want to use the search feature in this particular forum to find a wealth of information on the topic. after you learn more you may want to contact some guys on the CEG like Terry Haines, Brad Noon, warmonger, david z, buckshot etc. among others to help you out. I myself am wondering what some of the top 1/4 mile and 0-60 times are for a 3.0 LS engine swap...

I would advise the LS 3.0 Vs the Taurus as it has more potential re moving up to the Jag X type specs.The biggest shorfall of the Taurus 3.0 is the valve train design..it does not lend itself to much tuning over and above stock.The LS/Jag on the other hand has far more potential...depends how far you want to go...and how fast!!!

Does the LS/S-Type #.0L bolt right in or is there some fabrication involved?
What do you think the Taurus 3.0L is good for N/A?

More fab/m-c/mods than a Taurus,trans fits etc.You can mod the Taurus 3.0 NA the same way they are doing on the Taurus sites but the LS/Jag has far more potential....

It is tempting, so tempt further There has been a great deal of info of what it takes to put a Taurus 3.0l in the Contour. Does the LS need anything else? Can it be converted to return? Tempt me not for I am weak, oh what the heck, set the hook and reel me in.

Why revert to return...upgrade to returnless as the next generation of tuning and aftermarket is moving in that direction...
