I got the headers last night, but there is no y-pipe with them! WTF! I don't see any disclaimer that the headers don't include a y-pipe, I'm hoping it is a mistake. I emailed them right away, and I will call them on the phone really soon here.
I am hoping for the 10/15 improvement, but who knows since I am also going to be putting the 70mm T-Body on before it really hits the turf. BTW, the headers I got look very clean inside, no overhangs or anything. Do you think that I should still widen them out a bit?

Ok, I just found out that I got F**cked!
They are selling the headers only and not the y-pipe. I called MSDS and they say that ShoShop is only buying the headers from the kit and nothing else. They are expecting you to buy their y-pipe separately (which is a piece of shiit IMO)and of course they are making a killing. I only save $100 going through them, but in the end, I'm short a $200 y-pipe and the extra hardware! When I called the guy Tom told me that nowhere on the page did it say it came with a y-pipe...of course there are no pictures. I argued and all they will do is take them back and credit me the money. I don't want to wait 30 more days for the exchange and order through someone else when I have to report to Fort Leonard Wood on June 2, so I am going to bite the bullet and move on. I will say that these Little Bi*ches are misrepresenting and should be driven out of business. There are plenty of other companies who offer quality products without lies. ***I ask all who might wish to order one of their products to BOYCOTT their business and find their products through someone else.******* There is nothing on their page which can't be gotten from a reputable source somewhere else!!!

That sux man. Are you still going to dyno with your current Y-pipe in place? Least that way we could see how the headers alone compare with the gutted precats.

...and this is why I ordered mine directly from Marty at MSDS... I can't believe SHOShop sells them for $550 without a Y-pipe or a warranty. That's nearly full price!!! Mine were like $610 shipped to my door & I had them about 2 weeks before you did... (they were all the same batch) (I am sorry if it looks like I'm rubbing it in, but...) SHOShop SUCKS!!! If I can convince just one person a day I am doing a good thing!

That sucks. It's shadey that they don't tell you that you don't get the Y-pipe but because it isn't listed you're supposed to assume you don't get it. Check out this link , it's a report about SHOShop from the Better Business Bureau.

If it's true that we are here to help others, then what exactly are the others here for?

(I am sorry if it looks like I'm rubbing it in, but...) SHOShop SUCKS!!! If I can convince just one person a day I am doing a good thing! You know, it is embarrassing to get taken that way, and I have to say it does not happen very often. I could have just kept it secret, but I want the public to know that I want to help them, even at the expense of my own pride. That said, I understand where you are coming from Demon; you want to help people by showing them a better option. I do have the option to get my money back and I talked to Marty already about it. He will help me out if that is the way I want to go. Marty also said that from the looks of my y-pipe it would probably dyno out the same, or maybe within one HP of his. As I said above, I was planning on using my own pipe anyway, but I wanted to recoup some cash by selling the MSDS pipe off. No worries though, I'm over it already. If this is the only bad purchase I've made since I started this engine project last fall, then I can say that I am ahead of the game and ahead of most of the Dorks out there who are spending thousands on stupid little gimicks and 1 HP adders. This is for all of you out there...Use my experience and thanks for your sympathies. Kaiser, thanks for the offer, I will try my own y-pipe and then we can look at yours if mine isn't looking too good. warmonger

That sucks, Tom. You know what, though, my y-pipe is kinda starting to rust. And I live in dry CO and NM. I can't say the rust is bad, but if it gets bad, I'll just do w/ true dual exhaust. So, if I were you, I'd just stick with your own optimized ypipe and say F it. Marty seems like a good guy, so maybe you should just ask him if he'll still warrenty your headers. Just a though. You'll like your headers, BTW.
