I managed to get the word in print! That my headers will be shipped on Monday. That means I'll be slapping them on this week, and then I will be wanting to see what kind of difference they make.
I have dyno runs for the stock exhaust, with gutted manifolds, and the new exhaust with gutted manifolds. I will get a run with the headers now and we can see the comparison.
*Just to set the record straight* As you all know, I had a stuttering issue that showed up when I put my new exhaust on, and I spent 2 months with many wild theories only to find out it was ignition wires and possibly a coil. It still doesn't make sense, but I want to make sure that no one took any of the conjectures that were thrown out there as fact. The final results are: No apparent issues from the gutted pre-cats, 2.5" exhaust helps out a lot, and the stock computer works fine with the 3L. Ignition system is a tempermental biatch! Although I must say that the fuel computer is nice, I did not need it to make the engine run well. This goes along with the results from DavidZ and the ShoShop that the stock system works rather well. ** Now that the stuttering is fixed, I can get good dyno results of the GReddy tuning as well. I can say that it made it completely easy to throw in any MAF and any type of injectors. I just typed 4 numbers and I was able to switch from 19 - 24# injectors with no driveability issues.
The dyno results of my last runs are quite skewed with the ignition problem, but even with that the car was hitting 202hp and over 190 tq. Lets see what happens now.

Headers are good! Don't forget to take a die grinder & dremel to them. They are far from optimized the way they come... Lots of welding flash and sharp edged inner lips sticking into the air flow. Not to mention the ports are smaller then the head outlets due to the thick wall tubing used. Just grind that away too. Afterall it's welded on the backside of the flange AFTER the ports. Not that I've had any recent experience doing this mind you...

So does your dyno 'high' include the headers and larger TB, or is it without? Just checking I'm trying to see what kind of gains I might get with these mods considering what I am netting without them. warmonger

warmongerI dynoed the beginning of last December - exhaust leaks and all. (with optimized 60mm) I put the headers on last week... Not to mention numerous other mods (including optimized 65mm) over the past 4 week downtime... I think you should see 15/10 with the headers. That's my guess... Who's guess is next...
