Finally got the 3L in today, 2001 with 2100 miles on the clock. This thing barely had any dirt on it and appears to have had its oil changed already (new Fram filter with the grip stuff) The plastic upper sure looks purty wink



We hope to have it completed for May 24th, the mod list is extensive (not as extensive as "Team Iowa"....LOL) which include a Vortech SC, SVT Cams on 3L heads, MSDS headers and several other goodies.

On a side note here is the donor motor of the Cams. It died a short lived 30k life when all hell broke loose. One piston was cracked and another was turned to rubble.



Now this IS a bare block wink


I still have to get a shot of the connecting rod. Its obvious that these are a weak link once you see what happend to them.

I wont have the 3L pistons out to compare. No sense in tearing apart a new motor wink Just a cam swap and its in the car she goes (a few bolt-ons too wink )
