As long as they get the explosion on camera I'll be happy... High CR and low boost equal far less power than lower compression and higher boost. If I went through all that work and money I would have gone the route of more power over a quirky boosted high CR engine. (though IMO 10:1 without an intercooler is borderline!) Guess I just like reliable power.

It will be interesting to see what internal work they have done. I wish them good luck. One question though: Why keep hyping the project so much, and on another (apparently rival) board as well? I'm all for success as we all learn from it, but I hate the feeling I get with the "How You Like Me Now" attitude coming from all the posts.
Another thing I forgot. Why does it matter which intake you use if you are going forced induction?
The other thing that is interesting for all to note: Straight 3L swaps with 3L heads and SVT intakes are making about 195-200 wHP. The stock motor makes 200 at the crank, and the only difference is the cams and SVT intake stuff. That is about a 40 crank HP increase from just switching cams and intake system. Therefore I am skeptical that the manifolds will prove any greater benefit. The higher compression will be the biggest power booster.

Hey, no rivarly from me. I have been a memeber here ever since I bought the car two years ago. And don't think me bragging, because frankly, what do I have to brag about yet? Nothing, we don't even know if the damn thing is going to work right or not yet (as we are experimenting). But if it does, it will certainly be something to be proud of and I will look forward to letting the car do all of the bragging for me (if that does happen). Warmonger, why so negative? Have I ever said anything negative about your project???

QwiCSVT. I'm sorry if it comes off negative. I didn't mean that. I just am sensing that there is a lot of posts on here lately that seem to be justifying this CarDoc fellow and his board. I don't know the man and have no beef with anyone, but I am kind of tired of the 'colored' statements that seem to have the dual purpose of telling the CEG how great this guy is. I guess taken with the "super-exhaust" system posts there seemed to be a pattern. So no offense intended.
EDIT "I'm not saying that CarDoc is/isn't great. I only think that posting of information should be unbiased. If someone wants to convince people that this guy or his board is great, then use the general forum." END EDIT
As far as your car, I am rooting for you 100%. You have to understand that I am an analytical type of person, and I have posted my feelings about the 3L intake in the past. This is not singled out towards you. My feeling is that that style of manifold is geared towards a torque curve that is more beneficial to an automatic transmission, as well as the info I posted in the above message. On the other hand, you are the only person I know of that is making the 3L manifolds work so far, so good for you. I hope that you get good results and are willing to share all of the details of the engine as well as a dyno plot. By the way, I want to warn you about cutting your pre-cats out of your manifolds. I'm beginning to suspect that it has given me some driveability issues. I am presently searching for a cheap set of headers either new or used. If you do cut your exhaust manifolds, then make sure you have a spare set.
Good Luck, and again my appologies.
