every time you post in this thread you make me excited... this system is like a mini halltech for 1/4 of the price.....

I have a few questions.

It seems you may be going above and beyond what the computer expects for air flow. So have you looked into the Pressure Sensor module?

Also what kind of "in-car" interface if any does this provide. And finally is there 2 programs that can be stored on the system, with a switch to go from Race program to Cruisin' program and back?

Anxiously awaiting the final details on this system smile

Well, you may not like the interface because there is none.
Once the unit is set you just tuck it away. If you use a laptop, then you can always communicate with it realtime to see what is going on, but hey, when you drive you should be driving.

The only way to tune the system is with a PC. A laptop would provide you with an endless number of files that you can save for whatever purpose, drag, track, etc. It takes about 30 seconds to download a new file to the unit, which can be done while it is running. That along with the almost instant updates when you make small changes is pretty nice.
I think one of the reasons that it doesn't cost that much is becsause there is no display.

BTW: As far as my theory about the pcm keeping airflow "proportionate", that is still just theory! I am only offering/adapting my explanation for the physical problem that I face. Any ideas are welcome of course.

On the Greddy site about the e-Manage, the 3rd paragraph last sentence

Quote:
If the factory range of Map or Airflow meter is surpassed, you can incorperate our "Optional GReddy Pressure Sensor and Pressue Harness" to set larger scales of ajustment.
I just though you might want to know in case you didn't.

Well, I wouldn't be typing this from the comfort of my new office in my new house on my new cable modem if I didn't sell the Cougar to save for the above items, but DAMNIT I'm envious. Think this would work on a 94 Escort LX laugh

It works.
laugh
Seriously though, the first two portions Air/Fuel have been working fine for a while now.
It is great to be able to swap out a set of injectors and just punch in two numbers on the screen. The eManage just scales the voltage from the MAF automatically.
The fuel injection pulse-width works well also.

As far as the ignition system part of it, I have determined that it is NOT compatible with our ignition systems. BUT, with an add-on piece of electronics, it IS compatible with our ignition system! Although it is not done yet, I have met with great success and just today I was doing some testing....RUNNING my car with the eManage ignition system operational.
Again I say that it isn't done yet, but I am positive that I will soon have the interface...how should I phrase it..."roadworthy"?
Either way, it is the bang for the buck and it will serve you well.

As far as connecting to a PC: I have succeeded in making a datalink cable that works. GReddy was only selling them to the Dealers so the general public couldn't get them. They also took care to make it very difficult to duplicate the cable. However, a determined mind can figure it out. cool
NO WORRIES!
I can make a cable to order at this time.
Getting the software means that you are on your own, but I heard someone was selling a copy of the eManage software on EBAY...it's obviously out there.

So that is everything.

that guy on the group buy center said he can get the software also.....

so all we need to know now is how much for the ingintion module (and maybe cable to as that was not mentioned although software would be useless without cable)

here's the guy's info who can get the software (you did not get this from me)

Good, because I gave my word I wouldn't distribute the copy I have. This way you can get it independently and my honor is intact.
