Throttle Bodies. What are you looking for?

The only ones that will fit the Duratec (with modification!) are from a 2V 4.6L
96-00 Mustang & Crown Vic have the right ones for certain. Not sure about any other 4.6's

Awefully big for a Non-SVT (even most SVT's apparently)

Demon,

what about TBs from the 3.0L Duratec? What size do they run? Rumor had it they run the same exact TB as the SVT Tour. A Friend of mine said when he looked at his "SVT" TB it had 3.0 stamped on the back side of it.......

anyone know if this is true?

The 3 liter TB's are the same casting, but they are machined far differently. If I can find the time to do so, I'll take some pics sometime to show the differences. I've got a few 3 liter ones sitting around right now which I think can be modified to fit with a little bit of brain power and the right tools... Little epoxy here, little grinding there, drill bit here...

Question: How can the 1998 F Series and '98 Expeditions have the same MAF's w/ same p/n's but different calibrations for injector size? Misprint or does Ford not calibrate the MAF's? How do you get the right programming?

I always assumed the "injector calibration" for anything stock was all in the PCM.

I've tried to dispell that myth everywhere. Especially on the NECO board...

Just like Brad said. Same casting, completely different machining. Not easily modifiable to work at all...

The MAF info isnt a misprint...so maybe Ford does program the PCM with the sized injectors.....

But will the Mustang TB work better on the 3 liter?

Since it is a requirement to use the 2.5L Upper Intake, anything that works on a 2.5 Duratech will work on a Contour 3L motor.

Right, I understand that. But I have read the a big TB and MAF on a stock motor dont work well. If I go to a Mustang TB and an aftermarket MAF will they make my 3 liter breathe better.
