There is also a pretty good writeup on it in the new SCC. They praise it!
And the Passport 8500 also has dimming capabilities, as well as an assortment of other usefull functions. Although it doesn't have the direction indicators like the V1 and sometimes I wish I had them. I don't think they are worth the extra $100+ dollars.
Plus the Escort looks soooo much cooler
