I can't believe those fools wasted the time to pull the engine without the trans. You can probably save 3 hours by pulling the engine and trans at the same time. That is besides the fact that there are potential bolt-up issues with the hybrid that will be a hell of a lot easier to solve when the drivetrain is outside the engine bay.
When I pulled my engine, from the moment I opened the hood till the moment it was being set on the ground with a hoist trans and all took me 4 hours.
This is one of the easiest front-drive engines I've ever pulled.

I will give those guys props for courage and originality. I wouldn't have the balls to paint over a beautiful Toreador red with plum purple.

Good luck anyway.

I was thinking about repainting my Tour yellow. NO!!! Not becuase I think it will make me faster I just like yellow cars. I was thinking about 99 Mustang Chrome Yellow, what do you guys think? I don't like the newer Zinc Yellow I think it looks to pale. I have only seen one yellow Tour and that was in the Gallery section of that supercharged one. I just want mine to stand out from all the millions of Contours out there on the roads. Mine is T-Red and I think it is very pretty but other the Kendall everyone else has a t-red Contour in Wilmington. What other non-factory colors do you think would look good on a 2000 Tour since I know most of you guys like to bash people painting cars yellow.

If you do yellow, definitely go w/ the '99 yellow. After that the zinc yellow blew.
Burnt magenta would look good, check out www.ctamotorsports.com Also I think the steel grey that came out the same time as the zinc yellow would look pretty darn sweet.

The lighting is simply bad in the pic, the color is still the orginal color not purple. The new color is going to be diamond white metallic, a custom mix with DuPount paints.

Haven't you heard? Cars of today go faster with brightly colored paints than the cars of thirty years ago.
WAY back in those days, grey primer was the fastest paint they made....at least it must be because all the hot-rodded OLD cars I see are covered in it.

That's some Damned bad lighting to cause that effect. You must be right because it would be pointless to paint all the flooring under the carpet.
