Terry or anyone else,

So can you take a Taurus 3.0L short block, and mate up to it a set of LS Heads?

If so, this is more than likely the way I would like to go, since I will be porting and polishing the heads and getting a set of custom cams made a well.

Also, when someone like me buys a set of heads from car-part.com does it come with all of the valve train components already installed? I would rather have them in there already and part of the cost, than having to buy all the little parts seperately.

Thanks,

Nikolas

Terry, I am still not convinced that the 3.0L Lincoln LS and Taurus block are machined different.

My information shows the same machined block being used in the Taurus and Lincoln LS. In addition, my contact at Cleveland Engine plant says that the blocks for both vehicles come from the same machining centers. There is no distinction whether the block is going in a Taurus or Lincoln LS.

Can you give me a specific example of a feature which is machined different? By chance what were the casting numbers on the blocks you are comparing to each other?

In addition to the CVT (on the intake valves), the Jag 3.0L V6 also features a 3-stage intake.
