If the chip negated the long term OBD-II effects, you probably wouldn't have to keep resetting the PCM. And, the chip wouldn't have a CARB E0 number (which Superchips does).

Also, sometime in the future (soon in CA IIRC), an EPA mandated emissions test may begin by scanning the PCM and determining if all of the long term monitor tests have run if you have an OBD-II car. So if you have to go through that every year (like I do), it's something to think about.
