Ok I just got done tearing the motor down, and guess what I found. Catasrophic failure in cylinder 2. The entire piston is shatterd. but the crank, and other pistons are fine!?! It's weird there are no serious scars in any of the cylinder walls, even #2. only the piston shatterd. The rod, pin, bearing cap, and bearings are perfect. Not a scratch, or sign af warpage on any peices. The head over cylinder #2's bank was damaged slightly but not to bad. A guy at work does good head porting. Hope it's salvageable, seeing as that alluminum is hard to work on. Gonna need new valves too. now keep in mind this motor only has 200 something miles on it. so im perplexed as to what caused this. The whole crank case was filled with a collant, and oil mix. I need more time, and daylight to better asses it's condition. But all in all I feel more optimistic now than when I got it.
