I guess that Im going to have to get a superchip again to rewrite the prom. since the computer falls back to a stored set of values, when at WOT. I m just worried about fuel delivery, since my car tends to run lean as it is.

i was thinking of this route to 3.0 nirvana. since the escape is automatic and uses the CD4E, an ATX should be able to use the ECU/ECM/PCM without modification, right? i mean, since the tranny is the same (right?) and the inputs to the engine are the same (right?)...

and of course, there's that kenne bell supercharger for the 3.0 laugh

That is incorrect, it can be pinned to run properly just check out the diagram...

So is the consensus to go with the super afc for fuel delivery? How is everyone going about tuning this? Is it better to go with a dyno, or tune by driving. Since I am a tech at ford I have access to many usefull tools. I am very familiar with an NGS star tester, and WDS. These are both very helpful diagnostic tools, but unsure if helpful when tuning. Any experienced advice would be greatly appreciated. Id like to start gathering materials soon.

The SAFC is a fuggin bandaid here. It does not cure the problem, fuel is not the only issue here. Spark needs are different between the two engines, the SAFC might work : BUT IT IS NOT RIGHT. ya just do not listen do ya?
