I'll be bidding when some are done!
What year(s) blocks do you use? I will be using new heads with either SVT cams or afermarket Taurus cams.

best combination would be call Terry Haines and have him do an engine for you.

A blank check... wink Really it depends on what you want to do with the car. Killer daily driver, 3 liter with any of the same bolt ons already available. With the availability of electric water pumps now (if you can afford one), use the 3 liter heads to keep the larger valves. This will also keep the option of boost open to you in the future.

chknhwk, I use '98+ 3 liter DOHC engines in rebuildable condition.

What about all the "necessary" gaskets? I know that SHOshop will give all the gaskets needed as well, or at least that's what they claim. I think PA 3.0 had a prob with getting all the gaskets from SHOshop...

SHO Shop gives you 3.0 head gasket and head bolts. You are on your own for everything else.

Well, I did get the 3.0 valve cover gaskets. Not too useful with the 2.5 heads - I think they are included with the 3.0 head gasket from Ford.

I also got a set of Vulcan head bolts (SHO ordered the wrong 3.0 head bolts the first time). Cost me two days waiting to get the right ones.

Not exactly the "all necessary gaskets" I was originally promised. Bill Jenkins got me all the other parts I needed at the CEG discount.

Nope, got my head gaskets from Billy J., didn't come with valve cover gaskets. BTW, when ordering the valve cover gaskets, be sure to specify you need the O-rings for the spark plug holes as they aren't included with the rest of the valve cover pieces. Cost me a couple days waiting for things too when I did mine.

What's the total cost in gaskets that will be needed to complete the 3.0 conversion?
