No, trust me, if you do it right, it won't be a problem. I have done this on OBDII car's before with NO problems what-so-ever. It isn't something that your computer will "learn" to compinsate for... as long as your keep your sensor within range your fine, trust me, you will know if it isn't... and don't panic... just make sure you write down where the voltage was before you started... it's 100% reversable, so no worries.
