Okay, I am just curious about how you guys came about purchasing and loving your tours. Here is my little story..... so.. I was a young buck right..12yrs old and im watching TV and I see this commercial with this new ford car on it..dun,dun,dun... it the advertisement for the brand new contour!!!! So, I tell my mom "Hey i love that car, it looks so awesome!! can you buy it for me so i can have it when i get my liscense?".."Hell no im not buying that for you...buy it yourself when you get your liscense!!" so the years go by and i get my liscense and i buy a 95 ranger xlt..had to sell it cause the insurance companies wanted to kill me financially be4 they would let me drive it!! then i got a 88 subaru DL, POS!!! then i sold it cause i hated it... then its time to go car shopping again!! and i run up on this champagne colored 95 contour!! and by then im thinkin like all other 16-17yr old, damn what a granny car!!! i want a sports car, mustang, eclipse something like that right? well a couple days later, im just like you know what i really do like this car... so i bought it and that is how i got smoothy!!! which i guess you can say that is really wierd cause that is the first year for the contour here in the states and that was the model that i saw on the commercial when i was 12!!! isnt that wierd!!! but thats my story..

well when I started driving I started with my parents cars so I was driving a ford taurus for a few years and then my parents traded that in on a 95 mystique that my dad drove for about a year when he had a long commute into work everyday after he finished with that job the mystique was the car I drove to school for little bit after I graduated from the junior college and staarted work for a bit my parents told me it was time for me to get my own car so I started looking for something that would be pretty much like the mystique that I liked driving and ended up with a 98.5 silver SE V6 manual (mystique was also the V6 manual combo) I drove that for about a year and then totaled it by coming around a oily corner and slipping into the other lane and hitting a van headon after that I started looking again for a car and looked at Nissan Maxima (few years old) Nissan Altima (a year or 2 old) VW Jetta (used but still most were to expensive with what I wanted on them) Subaru Legacy GT (used and hard to find in manual in my price range) a few older saab 4 door hatchbacks (damn insurance company wanted to much for one of them) and of course that silly ford contour again I ended up getting a new 2000 Silver SE V6 manual with just about all options (traction control/ABS/moonroof) and so that is the car(my only car) I rack up my miles on now (about 40K a year)

OK, here we go When i was 16 my parents gave me a 1982 Buick. Needed new trans and timing belt, sold it for 50 bucks. Next, bought a 1977 NOVA with a 305, used it to eat up civics b/c they didn't know about it. Sold it to my brother. Needed a new car quick, so i got to the dealership and bought a 91 Galant, threw rims and sound in it, drove it for two years then traded it in for a 1999 Tan Contour LX, (the four banger), had it for a year and a half or so, then sold it to my mom who still has it, bought a 1988 MX-6, it's ok, bought a '72 bug, fixed it and sold it for twice what i bought it, bought a 1969 Lincoln Continental, still needs work but it's pimp, sold the bug and the MX-6 and bought a 1996 Accord coupe, sweet car very clean and sounded great (audiowise, it to was a four banger and i'm not into rice), saw a 1998 Black SVT for $9500, traded in my accord of 10 months and now have the SVT. i haven't gotten the car i've really wanted yet, McLaren F1. still trying to get a loan for that. funny, no one wantsd to loan a 23 year old, single parent student who works part time a million bucks. sorry so long
98 Black SVT It's all coming, soon!
