I can think of some good uses for it... 
For tuning - I monitor mine with my laptop when I need to test things.
With Manufacturers Enhanced Login I can plot it in real time against any PCM reading (RPM, advance, fuel curve, load, etc)Mainly for fun / show / so that I know at a glance what the secondaries are doing
I have Alex Pepper's OBDII software but I'm not that well up on using it to monitor the secondaires!!
